Hypnosis & Therapy

The practice of promoting healing or positive development in hypnosis is known as Hypnotherapy. The British Society of Clinical and Experimental Hypnosis states:
 

"In therapy, hypnosis usually involves the person experiencing a sense

of deep relaxation with their attention narrowed down and

focused on appropriate suggestions made by the therapist."
 

These suggestions help you make positive changes within yourself. In a hypnotherapy session you are always in control and you are not made to do anything. It is generally accepted that all hypnosis is ultimately self-hypnosis and the therapist simply helps to facilitate your experience - hypnotherapy is about empowerment and allowing the 'chosen' you to emerge.

Hypnotherapy Works

Hypnotherapy aims to re-programme learned behaviour within the mind enabling irrational fears, phobias, negative thoughts and suppressed emotions to be overcome.
 

It's effective because during hypnosis the conscious mind is suppressed and the subconscious mind is enabled for highly-effective change work. The subconscious mind is a deeper-seated more instinctive force than the conscious mind, so the subconscious is the part which has to change for a person’s behaviour to really change.

Rest assured hypnosis is a pleasant experience - as the body is released from conscious control during the relaxed trance-like state your breathing becomes slower & deeper and you can find your moment of bliss.
